SPIRITUAL GROWTH; Expanding Consciousness Through Acceptance

Spiritual Growth is the result of expanding consciousness through awareness and acceptance of all aspects of self. Spiritual Growth refers to the process of coming to realize the eternal nature of the consciousness or spirit inherent within the “I am” perspective. Through spiritual growth, we come to new vistas of realization and deeper understandings about the nature of self and reality. We come to see the reality of life after death, the creative and abiding power of the law of attraction and the inter-connectedness of everyone and everything that appears within our reality. The end result is a freedom from suffering and an abiding inner sense of peace.

Spiritual growth is a never ending journey with no finite destination. It is more a path than a process and we are most easily propelled along this path through love and self acceptance. Acceptance of self and of everything that reality could present to us within this moment, leads to a deep confidence and knowing that despite appearances, all truly is well, that in fact, perfection is inherent within each moment, regardless of what that moment holds.

I created this website to share spiritual ideas and insights and as a means to connect with others on all subjects pertaining to spiritual growth and metaphysics. I believe spiritual personal growth is best approached through accessing our own personal, inner knowledge and wisdom. Instead of merely following along, blindly accepting the teachings of another, it is important to activate the teacher within. Ultimately, each of us holds the answers to the questions we seek, within. That being said, there is indeed value in sharing and comparing ideas, realizations, beliefs and practices.

There exists an abundance of gurus and teachers of spiritual growth whose approach is to negate, deny or eliminate all identification with physical self-hood in favor of identifying with that which is deemed to be spiritual. I favor a more unified, accepting and life affirming approach to spiritual growth. Self inquiry combined with an abiding energy of love and acceptance is, in my experience, the path of least resistance to progress towards higher and higher levels of spiritual personal growth. From the vantage point created by expanding consciousness, it’s ALL spiritual.

Through complete and total self acceptance, we become able to ‘see through’ the limiting concepts about self that cause suffering. This seeing through, results in spiritual growth and thus, transcendence. When we come to see that there is nothing about this physical experience that is NOT of spirit, then the very experience of being physical itself, transforms, allowing us to revel in and joyously celebrate the experience of being human.

Rather than deny any aspect of self, ego or personalized experience, I’ve learned that through practicing self acceptance and self love, The ‘me’ inherent in each moment to moment experience, becomes the very embodiment of spirit. From this vantage point, I’m able to rise far above any limiting concepts or ideas that otherwise might result in emotional suffering.

Despite the teachings of many spiritual teachers and religions, this physical experience is not a LESSER experience than that of spirit. I’ve come to see that this physical life, complete with the unique framework of “I am” that each ‘self’ experiences through, is an extension of our greater, more expanded self. As such, I’ve come to view this experience of singularly focused self-hood as a gift. Spiritual growth often creates profound shifts in our perspective about life itself.

When we practice love for this gift along with complete self acceptance, spiritual growth is the natural result. We come to see that there is nothing at stake, nothing that is urgent or even particularly important and nothing that we cannot transform if we so prefer.

As eternal, spiritual beings, we have capabilities that extend far beyond what most of us accept. Through spiritual growth we can come to know this with certainty. Through aligning our energies with that of our spirit, we can manifest desires big and small. The law of attraction is always at work, bringing to us experiences and occurrences that are a vibrational match to our own personal energy. We are all extremely powerful creators, with the capacity to manifest our desires and create our own personal realities as we see fit.

Self acceptance results in a shift in vibration causing us to align with the energy of our spirit. When we align with the energy of our spirit, we harness the law of attraction to create magic. Spiritual growth allows us to see experience first hand the power and the abiding nature of the law of attraction.

Through sharing personal spiritual realizations, we can effectively achieve the spiritual growth we desire and thus enjoy a life that is not only free from emotional suffering, but one that includes an abundance of peace, joy and bliss.

Each of us chose to come to the physical plane to create a one-of-a-kind, unique, personal experience. We chose to come here knowing our power, confident in our ability to create a reality befitting of a God or of a Goddess. Spiritual Growth allows us to know this. Expanding Consciousness means "remembering" this truth and LIVING this truth on a day-to-day, moment-to-moment basis. If spiritual growth is the goal, self acceptance is the way.
