Below is a list of some of my favorite spiritual authors. Their various teachings range from New Thought and living the law of attraction, all the way to New Age Spirituality and Non-duality. While the delivery of these author's message may indeed vary to a great degree in some cases, the meat of the message inherent in all these writings is the same; You are not apart from God, Source, All that Is. All of these spiritual authors and their teachings serve as a bridge to the realization and thus, the full embodiment of that knowing.
If self actualization, complete with an ability to consciously create and live the reality of your dreams, is your goal, any one of these authors could help to guide you closer.
In Jane Roberts “Seth” books, she channels metaphysical teacher, Seth, a male entity who is a source of knowledge and inspiration regarding the nature of reality and the co-creative process involved in the manifestation of reality.
Jane Roberts published How To Develop Your ESP Power in 1966, and this book was later released under the title; The Coming Of Seth. Jane Robert’s last book, written prior to her death in 1984, entitled, The Way Toward Health, was published in 1997.
The works of Jane Roberts include; The Coming of Seth, The Seth Material, Seth Speaks, The Education Of Oversoul Seven, The Nature Of Personal Reality, Adventures in Consciousness, Dialogues Of Soul And Mortal Self In Time, The Unknown Reality, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, The Nature of The Psyche, Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfullment, Seth Dreams and Projection of Consciousness, The Magical Approach; Seth Speaks About The Art Of Creative Living, and The Way To Health. This list is not comprehensive.
I was introduced to The Seth Material in my late teens, and to this Day, Jane Roberts remains one of my favorite Spiritual Authors of Channeled Material and material that addresses how thoughts and beliefs create reality.
Esther Hicks channeling Abraham, is another of my favorite of spiritual authors. She channels “Abraham” a collective group of energies that address the subject of Law of Attraction and manifestation of desire. The message is encompassing, deep, educational, and yet delivered with a lightness and sense of humor that makes this material incredibly easy and enjoyable to understand and digest.
Esther Hicks large body of work includes; Ask and It is Given, The Vortex, Money And Law of Attraction, Getting Into the Vortex (Guided Meditations), The Power of Emotions, Sara – Books 1-3, Money and The Law of Attraction, and more.
Joseph Murphy is another of a handful of spiritual authors who I would deem as one of my favorites when it comes to the subject of Law of Attraction and utilizing the powers of the mind for manifestation of desire.
Joseph Murphy, an Irish born, naturalized American author, was born in 1898 and died in 1981. He left a bounty of powerful and uplifting books in his wake. Joseph Murphy's work fell under what was at the time termed, "New Thought," and was an ordained minster in divine science and religious science. His books address the power of subconscious mind and the link between beliefs and manifestation.
His works include; The Powers Of Your Subconscious Mind, The Miracles of Your Mind, How To Use Your Healing Power, Mental Poisons and Their Antidotes, The Unbelievable Power Of Suggestion, Within You The Power, Special Meditations For Health, Wealth, Love And Expression, and the list goes on.
What I love about these books is that Joseph Murphy is one of those spiritual authors whose excitement and passion is so clearly evident in his words, that it practically leaps off the pages at you and ignites your own inner sense of passion and knowing. His writing style clearly speaks to the subconscious itself as it is repetitive and thus highly hypnotic in its delivery. I discovered this material my early 20’s and it resonated deeply as I’d been channeling New Though/Law of Attraction based messages myself through automatic writing that very closely resembled what Joseph Murphy and other spiritual authors like him, were teaching.
Neville Goddard who was born 1905 and died in 1972, is another within a small group of authors, like Joseph Murphy who at the time fell under the label of “New though.” Like Joseph Murphy, Neville Goddard was also a New Thought Ordained Minister. His work often focuses upon biblical verse and draws a connection between Christianity and New Thought/Law of Attraction in a way that appears to me to be extremely bold for its time.
Neville Goddards works include titles; Your Faith is Your Fortune, Feeling Is The Secret, Prayer, The Neville Reader, The Law And the Promise, Immortal Man, The Power Of Awareness, At Your Command, and more.
Joseph Benner, another author who also fell under the label of ‘New Thought,’ many years ago, authored the short (43 page) but potentially very powerful book, The Impersonal Life. It was published in 1914, under the penname “anonymous,” which if you read the book, can be seen to be perfectly fitting.
It’s written from the vantage point of “God/Source/The Supreme I AM,” much in the same style as Neale Donald Walsch.
